St Florian is the popular saint that protects firefighters from harm. St. Florian held a high administrative post in the Roman Army during the 4th century. The medal has the likeness of St Florian holding a flag while pouring water on a house which is on fire embossed in the center with the words “SAINT FLORIAN PROTECT US” encompassing his image. There are raised sections and the medal has a satin finish.
